Review analysis on performance of ribbed solar air heater by CFD approach

چکیده

Solar air heaters (SAHs) are used in a wide variety of household and industrial applications. Smooth absorber plate traditional solar duct has low value convective heat transfer coefficient. Enhancing the thermal efficiency SAHs can be achieved by using artificial roughness ribs placed on plate. However, this use results increasing pressure loss due to friction between airflow roughened surface. This paper presents summarized review recent studies that deal with application computational fluid dynamics (CFD) enhance thermohydraulic performance utilizing different designs ribs. includes selection high-performance turbulence model based Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) approach. The enhancement parameter heater, shaped geometries configurations, is presented at specific number.
